SELF-ESTEEM "BOOST": - This 8 session group provides hands-on group and homework activities to enhance self-esteem. This group will help you learn about self-esteem and how it is developed, how family/personal values and goals impact self-esteem, changing negative thought patterns, building self-esteem, enhancing relationships and boundaries, optimism, and increasing self-confidence. A minimum of 4 group members needed to start a group. Use the "CONTACT" tab to report your interest in this type of group, day/evening preferences, and days available to attend.
STRESS MANAGEMENT: This 6 session group is designed to assist in identifying the causes of stress, how stress impacts the mind and body, transforming unhealthy and prolonged thought patterns, learning the Family Stress Model and how to help our families overcome crises, and practicing relaxation and stress management skills to relax the mind and body. Hands-on activities and homework are included. A minimum of 4 group members needed to start a group. GRIEF AND LOSS: This 6 session group is designed to meet the needs of grieving women as an additional support. A focus is on understanding grief and loss and its stages, the symptoms of grief, complicated grief, learning to cope and finding support, reducing the pain and fears of letting go, and moving forward. Hands-on activities and homework are included. A minimum of 4 group members needed to start a group. SUPERVISION: I am a Michigan State Approved Supervisor and received my training through the Mentoring Institute in Kalamazoo, MI. I provide supervision to Limited Licensed Professional Counselors (LLPC’s) who are pursuing full licensure within the State of Michigan.
TRAININGS and CLASSES: I facilitate on-site trainings and classes for staff and/or clients. Trainings and classes are based on need and requests. Currently, I offer Trauma, Conscious Discipline Part I and II, Depression, Self-Esteem, Grief and Loss, Anger Management, Stress Management, Stress Management and the Holidays, Victims of Domestic Violence, Adoption, and more.
