I am a Certified Trauma Practitioner from The National Institute of Trauma and Loss in Children. I have obtained Certification as a Pre-Pare-Enrich Facilitator from Prepare-Enrich offering assessments for Pre-marital and Marriage Enrichment Counseling. I am a Michigan Certified Supervisor for Limited Licensed Professional Counselors receiving my certification through The Mentoring Institute in Portage, MI.

Welcome to my profile which tells you a little bit about me. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Michigan. I obtained a Master’s Degree in Community Counseling with a Specialty in Marriage and Family Therapy through Western Michigan University. I completed my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I have 26 years of counseling experience working within the social service field with young children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups. I have significant knowledge and experience in prevention services, foster care, and the court system. My clinical work experience includes outpatient counseling, in-home counseling, foster care counseling, counseling within residential settings, and facilitating agency trainings for staff and parents.  I am passionate about helping clients in their journey towards healing. I look forward to hearing your unique story. 

I enjoy spending family time going to the beach, kayaking, hiking, planting, campfires, shopping, watching movies, playing games, craft making, learning to play an instrument, and other fun activities. My favorite movie types are: action, drama, thrillers, and romantic comedies. My favorite music types are: contemporary Christian, pop, rock, jazz, and classical. I enjoy learning new things. Mostly I love meeting new people, hearing their unique stories, and using my skills and abilities to help others!

I am a wife and mother, and I love every minute of it! My husband and I celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary this year. We have an amazing adult daughter who is married and is a teacher.
